Why Not All Water Is Good Water

The last article discussed things a person can use in their kitchen to make their health better. Nothing can enhance health better than water. Life revolves around water. Human beings cannot live on soda and juice alone. We must have water. Although we know this fact. We deprive ourselves of it. We say it does not have a taste or water is nasty. When you read this article you will educate yourself on how to choose good water. Because good water does not taste nasty. It is good for you and palatable to the taste buds. Bad water has a bitter taste and is mineral deficient and possibly contains many harmful chemicals. Let us expose some of these bad waters.

Tap water as we probably all know is not good for our bodies. It may be filtered to a certain extent, but it still contains various chemicals, not enough minerals, and recent studies have even found traces of perscription drugs in our tap water. Many invest in filters to help make the tap water better, but filters are not always full proof. Investing in a very good filter can be costly yet worth while. We will discuss filters in a later article.

Spring water is not always good, but how can you know?. Many bottled waters we purchase labeled spring water is bad. Why? Not all springs are "protected." The underground water table is a complex system. Although underground springs should be filled with nutrients and free of harmful substances, many times they are not. When purchasing spring water look on the bottle for an ingredients list. The list should tell the mineral content in the water. It should plainly state the alkalinity of the water or the water's PH. A good PH for water would be over 7.5. Why does PH matter? Our bodies have a balance. Our PH balance should be around 7.4. When our PH balance is off we are open to obesity, diseases, fatigue, and other disorders. Now you can begin to appreciate why we must have the right type of water.

Artesian water is wonderful. Fiji water is one of my favorites. One bottle of Fiji water can cost the price of a six pack of regular purified water, but it is worth it. Fiji water has an ingredients list. This list has the mineral content and tells the alkalinity of the water. The next time you go to the grocery store look at a bottle of Fiji water and see what I am talking about. Fiji water is not the only type of artesian water. There are many different types, and mostly all of them have an ingredients label.

Purified waters can be bad waters also. Why? The water is taken through a process, sometimes, deionization, reverse osmosis, or steam distillation to name a few. Taking water through these processes removes impurities but also removes the mineral content in the water. It is drinking "dead water" unless the manufacturer adds minerals to the water. Again, the label will state clearly if minerals have been added to the water. Pure Life by Nestle adds minerals to its water in order to make it "alive."

Can you make your own good water? Yes. Most health food stores sell minerals to add to water. They also sell water testing kits for you to test the PH of your water. They are inexpensive to purchase and worthwhile. Baking soda also is good to add to your water. The name of this mineral is sodium bicarbonate. Our bodies produce it naturally but not enough of it. Add a half teaspoon of baking soda to a pint of water. This will also help bring your bodies' PH level up if it is low. Make sure you purchase organic baking soda. Regular baking soda contains aluminum!

O2 Cool is excellent water. It is also one of my favorite waters. It has added oxygen and has a PH of 8.5. It is spring water, and the label has the proof of its PH. It is quite expensive, but from my personal use of it, it helps me think better. Crazy water comes from Mineral Wells, Texas. There are four types of Crazy waters because of the varying mineral content. I always buy number four because of its high alkalinity. I love it. Good water always makes you feel energized and refreshed. It gives your body what it needs, minerals and oxygen.

This article should be helpful in finding your right water. Your body deserves the best. You deserve the best health you can achieve.
