Why Not All Water Is Good Water

The last article discussed things a person can use in their kitchen to make their health better. Nothing can enhance health better than water. Life revolves around water. Human beings cannot live on soda and juice alone. We must have water. Although we know this fact. We deprive ourselves of it. We say it does not have a taste or water is nasty. When you read this article you will educate yourself on how to choose good water. Because good water does not taste nasty. It is good for you and palatable to the taste buds. Bad water has a bitter taste and is mineral deficient and possibly contains many harmful chemicals. Let us expose some of these bad waters.

Tap water as we probably all know is not good for our bodies. It may be filtered to a certain extent, but it still contains various chemicals, not enough minerals, and recent studies have even found traces of perscription drugs in our tap water. Many invest in filters to help make the tap water better, but filters are not always full proof. Investing in a very good filter can be costly yet worth while. We will discuss filters in a later article.

Spring water is not always good, but how can you know?. Many bottled waters we purchase labeled spring water is bad. Why? Not all springs are "protected." The underground water table is a complex system. Although underground springs should be filled with nutrients and free of harmful substances, many times they are not. When purchasing spring water look on the bottle for an ingredients list. The list should tell the mineral content in the water. It should plainly state the alkalinity of the water or the water's PH. A good PH for water would be over 7.5. Why does PH matter? Our bodies have a balance. Our PH balance should be around 7.4. When our PH balance is off we are open to obesity, diseases, fatigue, and other disorders. Now you can begin to appreciate why we must have the right type of water.

Artesian water is wonderful. Fiji water is one of my favorites. One bottle of Fiji water can cost the price of a six pack of regular purified water, but it is worth it. Fiji water has an ingredients list. This list has the mineral content and tells the alkalinity of the water. The next time you go to the grocery store look at a bottle of Fiji water and see what I am talking about. Fiji water is not the only type of artesian water. There are many different types, and mostly all of them have an ingredients label.

Purified waters can be bad waters also. Why? The water is taken through a process, sometimes, deionization, reverse osmosis, or steam distillation to name a few. Taking water through these processes removes impurities but also removes the mineral content in the water. It is drinking "dead water" unless the manufacturer adds minerals to the water. Again, the label will state clearly if minerals have been added to the water. Pure Life by Nestle adds minerals to its water in order to make it "alive."

Can you make your own good water? Yes. Most health food stores sell minerals to add to water. They also sell water testing kits for you to test the PH of your water. They are inexpensive to purchase and worthwhile. Baking soda also is good to add to your water. The name of this mineral is sodium bicarbonate. Our bodies produce it naturally but not enough of it. Add a half teaspoon of baking soda to a pint of water. This will also help bring your bodies' PH level up if it is low. Make sure you purchase organic baking soda. Regular baking soda contains aluminum!

O2 Cool is excellent water. It is also one of my favorite waters. It has added oxygen and has a PH of 8.5. It is spring water, and the label has the proof of its PH. It is quite expensive, but from my personal use of it, it helps me think better. Crazy water comes from Mineral Wells, Texas. There are four types of Crazy waters because of the varying mineral content. I always buy number four because of its high alkalinity. I love it. Good water always makes you feel energized and refreshed. It gives your body what it needs, minerals and oxygen.

This article should be helpful in finding your right water. Your body deserves the best. You deserve the best health you can achieve.

Whole Body Cleanse Using What Is In Your Kitchen

With pollution, unsafe foods, household chemicals, and other contaminates being absorbed into our bodies, it becomes necessary for one to perform a whole body cleanse. It has to be done for us to perform at our best, look our best, and most important of all stay healthy. We have cars that we drive and perform routine maintenance on in order for them to get us from point A to point B. So how much more so should we do this with our bodies? Many never think to do a body cleanse or they wait until the toxins have built up and the symptoms have started to appear warning that something is wrong.

Back in the day we had grandparents that seemed to realize from instinct that the colon needed to be cleansed from time to time. So they gave their children Castor oil or "tonic." yes, that good old tonic. Whatever was in that stuff sure did the job even though it may have tasted horrible. These days we have veered away from this ritual, but with the onset of so many preventable diseases, we must take hold of the body cleanse ritual once again, and take our good health back.

There are simple things that you probably already have in your kitchen cabinet that will work wonders and get you on track to feeling and looking much better:

  • Apple cider vinegar- not just any apple cider vinegar, the regular distilled vinegar on your grocery store isle is DEAD. All of the nutrients have been killed because of the makers trying to make it look appealing to you when you purchase it. They overheat it and strain it killing all of the vitamins and minerals that your body has to have. Sometimes the uglier the better. "Braggs" apple cider vinegar is the best. It has the mother in it. It works wonders with the digestive system. It aides in weight loss and gives energy. Drink a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar thirty minutes before a meal. Make sure you rinse your mouth. The acid corrodes your teeth. Three-fourths of a cup in a bath tub of water aides in adding vibrancy to the skin. Ladies make your own douche with it. It rids the body of unwanted yeast. Men you get yeast build up too. Just drink a tablespoon before each meal as well. Why does it work so well? It has the "mother" in it. The mother is the cloudy stuff that settles in the bottle before you shake it up. The mother has the nutrients your body needs. Without the mother, you are just drinking some fermented apple juice. Who has it? Whole Foods, Central Market, Great Earth, or any other health food store should carry undistilled apple cider vinegar.

  • Lemons- Lemons have natural cleansing agents. Drink some lemon water before each meal. Lemons also are a great source of potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, you get the picture. What are the benefits? Drinking lemon water helps with colds, asthma, obesity, colon detoxification, and so much more. You can also make a great air freshener and natural household cleanser with lemons. Look for future articles for more on the household cleansing benefits.

  • Baking Soda- My mother used to keep a box of baking soda in the cabinet for my stomach aches. This is something she passed on to me. Add a half teaspoon of baking soda to a pint of water. Baking soda alkalizes your water. The name for baking soda is Sodium Bicarbonate. If you look on a bottle of "Fiji" water, "Crazy" water, or any other water with an ingredients label, Sodium Bicarbonate will be in the water. Why? Good water has Sodium Bicarbonate. Our bodies produce it naturally but not enough of it. The water we drink from the tap does not have Sodium Bicarbonate. Much of the spring water we buy does not have it naturally either. Baking Soda aides in preventing our bodies from becoming acidic. When the body becomes acidic. It starts to harbor parasites, yeast overgrowth, and a host of other disease causing microbes.

  • Pineapple- Most people like pineapple. I keep one in my refrigerator. Pineapple expels parasites. It strengthens the bones in older people and aides in bone growth in younger ones. It makes the skin and hair vibrant. Pineapple should be consumed alone between meals. One can go on a pineapple fast to rid the body of certain types of parasites and aide in rejuvenating your body. A pineapple fast can usually be done in three to four days. It helps with upset stomach and is rich in fiber. A steady diet including pineapple can possibly help one's digestive track get back on track.

  • Cinnamon- The delicious spice that makes a sweet potato pie a pie is a good body cleanser. Add cinnamon to coffee and cappuccino. Put it in oatmeal. The possibilities are endless. Cinnamon also promotes a healthy digestive track. It rids the colon of certain parasites. It is rich in vitamins and minerals.

  • Cloves- Cloves are wonderful for expelling parasites. Just add them to your cinnamon oatmeal. Use them in your marinades. They taste great when used in baked dishes.

This is a small list of some of the things you have in your kitchen to cleanse your body. We all get parasites. We all have build up of toxins from the environment, water we drink, and food we eat. Including one or all of these remarkable foods in your diet will aide in making your body function better. My next article will show you steps to take to cleanse yourself if you have never done it before or have never noticed results from a failed attempt. I will also discuss different types of water and how some water you buy is "bad" water.

Be Forgiving

" I can't take this anymore." Have you said this about someone you are closed to, or has someone said this about you? When you heard this statement in regards to yourself, how did it make you feel? Did it make you feel angry or hurt? Everyone will have a moment when we step on another's "toes." It is bound to happen even before this day is over. But in order to make our lives go a little smoother today, let us be forgiving toward others.

We cannot make others be forgiving toward us. But we can let go of a little of our pride and recognize when we have wronged someone and ask that person to forgive us. Forgiveness is in order for each and every one of us individually. We all need it. Forgiveness is what a bandage is to a wound. It heals. Just let it go.

It is not to say if someone maliciously harms you just let that ride. Stealing, cheating on a mate, killing and so forth are things that GOD has to handle with a person. Jesus said, "Pray for your enemies." So we must pray for those who do things toward us to purposely harm us. But we cannot take revenge against another either. Revenge is for the LORD in heaven to take against those who hurt us. If we choose to hold on to grudges we only weigh down our hearts. So if we do experience someone hurting us purposely, we can forgive that person in order to heal ourselves. We just do not have to extend ourselves to them until they make the necessary changes in their lives. But be careful because, Jesus also said, "When your enemy is hungry feed him. When he is thirsty, give him water." God in heaven lets the rain pour and the sun shine on those who do not love HIM. And we all know that sun and rain make food grow. So we can take this as a lesson to learn from our heavenly Father.

Studies have been done that show when people have more forgiving traits, they tend to have less stress. Stress has been known to cause heart attacks, high blood pressure, and other health problems. So take time to be forgiving. It will save your life in more ways than you know. Plus, think about the hurt and anger you feel when someone does not extend forgiveness to you. Colossians 3:13. "Continue putting up with one another freely if anyone has cause for complaint against another."

Make More Time

On days like this, sunny and pleasant, take time to spend time with your loved ones. Work will be there. There can never be enough work. You only get one chance to spend time with your children. That is while they are still kids. Those little years go by so fast. You will look up and wonder where the time went. One minute they are right above your knee. The next minute they are above your shoulders.

Money is hard to come by these days. There are many things families can do to spend time together without having to spend too much money. These days we tend to spend more time inside watching television and playing video games. Go to the neighborhood park and watch your children play. Be a little spontaneous and play with them. Take a ball and play tag, catch, or kickball, whatever comes to mind. Make some snack bags and take a jug of homemade kool-aid, sweet tea, or water. Don't forget the camera. You will want to catch those memories to look back on in the future. The simple things in life tend to bring the greatest pleasure.

Don't be afraid to let your kids get dirty. They only have a few years to play as children. The adult years are filled with responsibilities. Have a happy sunny day. Go ahead get out there and play. No matter what you choose to do, do it with your family and have fun together.

Relationships

 Don't fight: It drains energy

You may have an encounter with a loved one that just sends you there today. You may try to talk it out, but its like you are talking to the pillow on your bed. You do not get the type of feedback you wish to receive. To make matters worse, your loved one may continue to do things throughout the day that works your last nerve. What will you do if this happens to you?

Will you out of frustration start yelling to the top of your voice how they should get it together? Will you try to talk it out until you are blue only for an argument to result if the other person does not see things your way? Will you blame the other person for your anger in the situation? Rest assured, non of these options are going to do anything but burn too much needed energy.

Leave a heated situation. If you are having an issue that cannot be resolved at the moment, get some you time even if it is for ten or fifteen minutes. Take a brisk walk around the block, in the parking lot of your apartment complex, or down the hallway of your office building. Just find a place to take a mini walk. Try getting out in the sun and soak up some vitamin D. You will feel better about yourself and will more than likely be able to find a reasonable solution to the problem. Even if you cannot find a solution, you will not focus on the other person's faults to the point of breaking your own peace.

I find that when you read the Bible, especially Proverbs, it helps you calm yourself and even look at the situation from a different angle. What you think is a big issue may not really be so big after all. So do not argue and fight. You need that energy for something you will need to do throughout the day. Plus,  arguments and fighting are distractions that eat at your mind throughout the day prohibiting you from performing at your best in whatever you do.
